A group of Jewish immigrants who will settle in Australia have left here for Marseilles, it was announced today by the local office of HIAS.
Made up of 27 former inmates of German concentration camps, the group is the first of several transports due to sail soon for Australia and South America, the HIAS said.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
