The highest authorities of the American Military Government’s legal division have upheld the findings of the military court which on April 28 sentenced 19 displaced Jews from the Landsberg Camp to terms ranging from three months to two years, it was learned today from reliable sources.

At the same time, the legal division recommended suspended sentences for some, partial sentences for others and full sentences for still others. It is not known here how many fall into each category, but the entire proceedings must now be reviewed by Generals McNarney and Clay.

Military police and occupation troops have requested the legal officials to notify them forty-eight hours before they make their decision public in order that they might take precautionary measures in all DP camps and avoid disturbances similar to the one last week at Foshrenwald.
