British security officials have been questioning prominent Jews in Trieste and various Italian cities through which Jews seeking passage to Palestine pass, the Daily Telegraph reports today from Vienna.
It says that it is no secret that British intelligence has for some time been watching Jewish organizations in an effort to check the smuggling of Jews into Italy. Intensification of frontier restrictions are expected, the dispatch adds.
