The Jewish Agency received a letter today warning that its building on Great Russell Street is slated for early destruction in reprisal for the slaying of Major Desmond Doran by extremists in Tel Aviv.

The letter was signed “Buf,” the initials of Sir Oswald Mosley’s outlawed British Union of Fascists. Though it is believed to be the work of a crank, the Agency handed the letter over to the authorities. The letter read: “Warning. Since the death of Major Doran, I have received instructions for the destruction of your building at an early date. Beware.”
