Cyprus Deportation Vessel Set Ablaze in Alexandria While Undergoing Repairs

A fire of undetermined origin broke out last night aboard the Empire Rival, Cyprus deportation ship, which is being repaired at Alexandria after being severely damaged by Jewish saboteurs as she lay in Haifa harbor. The Alexandria report said that little damage was caused and police are investigating the incident.

Egyptian political police today arrested a number of young Jews charged with having entered Egypt from Palestine without visas.
