More than 200 Jewish leaders attending a United Jewish Appeal conference of representatives of western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia, voted today to raise $1,298,000 towards the U.J.A. ‘ $100,000,000 goal, exclusive of funds to be raised in Pittsburgh. Judge Benjamin Lencher presided at the conference. James G. McDonald, American member of the Palestine inquiry committee, and Charles J. Rosenbloom, chairman of the United Palestine Appeal, were the main speakers.
