The British “federalization” plan for Palestine was scored today by the trade union newspaper Trud which said that the only way of preventing the “tragedy looming over” the people of Palestine was to place the entire issue before the United Nations.

Palestine’s fate should not be the subject of bargaining between the United States and Britain while there is an organization like the United Nations, it declared, adding that the plan would attach Palestine to Britain and deprive her of all possibility of future political and economic development as an independent entity.
