Jdc’s September Shipments to Europe Total 2,800,000 Pounds; Cost $1,000,000

The JDC shipped more than 2,800,000 pounds of supplies valued at over $1,000,000 from the U.S. during September for the relief of European Jews, Dr. Joseph C. Hyman, executive vice-chairman, reported today.

JDC’s overseas shipments from the U.S. since the first of the year total more than 17,000,000 pounds of supplies costing nearly $8,000,000, he added.
