Palestine High Commissioner Retires from Army Service; Lt. Col. Webb Leaves Palestine

Gen. Sir Alan Cunningham, Palestine High Commissioner and Commander-in-Chief, today retired from active service in the regular British Army. He is 59 years old.

Lt. Col. Richard Webb who was removed from his command for anti-Jewish statements which he made to foreign correspondents in Jerusalem last week left Palestine today.

Robert Scott, financial secretary of the Palestine Government, who is known for his anti-Zionist sentiments, will soon leave his post and the country, it was learned here today.
