A scroll of the Jewish law from the surviving Jews of Berlin was presented to Dr. Stephen S. Wise, founder and president of the Jewish Institute of Religion, at a dinner tendered him by its trustees and faculty last night at the Town Hall Club.

Rabbi Joseph Shubow of Brighton, Mass. who served as a U.S. Army chaplain in Germany, was entrusted with the mission of presenting this gift on behalf of the Berlin Jewish community in recognition of Dr. Wise’s many years of service to world Jewry.
