Canada Will Admit Number of Displaced Persons Under Existing Quota, Premier Announces

Premier William Mackenzie King announced that the Canadian Government has approved measures which will make it possible to bring to Canada a number of displaced persons and refugees from Europe under the existing immigration regulations. Arrangements will be made to carry out the necessary immigration inspection in the camps for displaced persons.
