About 200 Jewish refugees continue to enter Italy daily seeking passage to Palestine. They are being placed in UNRRA camps in northern Italy.

A committee of the Central Committee of Displaced Persons, representing about 25,000 Jewish DP’s in Italy, has submitted a memorandum to the Italian Ministry of the Interior protesting against the “libelous campaign” launched by a section of the Italian press against the DP’s, charging that they are “terrorists” and responsible for the recent bombing of the British embassy in Rome.
