Bucharest (Nov. 19)
A Rumanian military court today sentenced 40 members of a fascist band, which planned to murder Jews and overthrow the government, to prison terms ranging up to life imprisonment. Twelve persons were acquitted.
The 52 defendants were headed by Gen. Aurel Aldea, who was the first Minister of the Interior in the government which overthrew the Antonescu regime just prior to the Rumanian capitulation to the Russian forces. The trial aroused great interest in Bucharest.
