The Court of Appeals, highest state court, has refused to review a lower court’s dismissal of a suit seeking to deny tax exemptions to Columbia University on the grounds that it practiced discrimination in admissions.

The suit, which was brought by the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League, asked the Tax Commission to withdraw the exemption. When the Commission refused to act, the League appealed to the Supreme Court and then to the Appellate Division, both of which upheld the Commission.
