The training of police to deal with race problems as an efficient means of avoiding future conflicts was urged by Dr. Will W. Alexander, vice-president of the Julius Rosenwald Fund, at a conference on human relations held here during the week-end under the auspices of the American Missionary Association.

Dr. George Haynes, director of the department of race relations of the Federal Council of Churches, reported on the Council’s “interracial clinics” in 22 cities throughout the country. The conference was attended by many leaders of social, educational and religious groups.
