“After the ordeals Jews have lived through, it becomes even more imperative that we rededicate and reconsecrate the undying heritage and immortal values which our ancestors were the first to proclaim to the world,” Rabbi Goldman said. “We have taught the world to recognize the true meaning of freedom of conscience, thought and speech. Ours has been the task to teach men the sacredness of human personality, the rights of individuals and groups to live their own lives,” he concluded.
