A new settlement named after Yehiam Weitz who was killed several months ago while participating in blowing up a railway bridge in protest against the deportation of Jewish refugees to Cyprus, has been established by the Hashomer Hazair, radical wing of the Palestine labor movement.
The colony is situated on land belonging to the Jewish National Fund in Upper Galilee. Yehiam Weitz is the son of Joseph Weitz, one of the executive heads of the J.N.F. headquarters in Jerusalem.
