Greek Premier Receives W.j.c. Official; Promises Jewish Refugees Temporary Shelter

Greek Premier Constantine Tsaldaris yesterday received Alex L. Easterman, political secretary of the British section of the World Jewish Congress who is now in the United States, the local office of the Congress announced.

Tsaldaris gave Easterman assurances that if non-Greek Jewish refugees come to Greece they will receive temporary shelter until arrangements can be made for their transfer. He reiterated that legislation transferring heirless Jewish property to a special body for Jewish relief and resettlement will be completed as soon as possible.
