A nation-wide campaign for $1,000,000 for the relief, rehabilitation and resettlement of orthodox Jews in displaced persons camps in Europe and for the strengthening of religious life in shattered Jewish communities throughout Europe was launched today by the Refugee-Immigration Division of the Agudah Israel Youth Council of America.

Heading the campaign, which has for its objectives the resettlement of orthodox Jews still living in D.P. camps and large-scale shipments of kosher foodstuffs and religious articles to Jewish communities in Central and Eastern Europe, are Lester Udell, president of the West Side Institutional Synagogue, and Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein, honorary president of the Synagogue Council of America.
