$500,000 Contributed to Brandeis University; Three Gifts Total $255,000

Gifts and pledges of $508,000 to Brandeis University, America’s first secular educational institution under Jewish auspices, were reported today by Julius Silver, treasurer of The Albert Einstein Foundation, sponsoring body of the university.

At the same time, Mr. Silver made public three gifts to the Foundation totaling $255,000. These were: $105,000 by Mr. and Mrs. Allen L. Goldfine of New York City; $100,000 by Israel Rogosin of New York City; and $50,000 by Abraham Shapiro of Boston.
