American Zionist Laborite Received by Pope; Asks for Statement Against Anti-semitism

Louis Segal, American Zionist Laborits leader, was received today by Pope Piue XII. Declaring that he represents the World Jewish Congress, Mr. Segal asked the Pope to issue a statement condemning anti-Semitism. He later told newspapermen that the Pope promised to issue such a statement at the first opportunity.
