The Vienna Jewish Community has issued a declaration demanding that the peace treaty with Austria include provisions for the protection of Jewish political, civic, religious and economic rights and for the return of confiscated property.

In its crgan, “Jewish News,” the Community published a list of 71 Nazis who are still living in Jewish homes. Asserting that the Austrian Government has not yet righted the wrongs done the Jews, the publication declares that of 1,200 apartments whose return has been demanded by the Jews, only 85 have been restored to the owners.
