A Jewish shopkeeper was beaten up by two anti-Semitic thugs in the Gorbals district of Glasgow today while a crowd of onlookers watched without interfering.

The two men approached the storekeeper and asked him if he was a Jew. When he answered: “Yes,” they began beating him. They also told him: “This is for what you are doing to our pals in Palestine. This is only the beginning. We are going to get all the Jews out of Gorbals. Who says it can’t happen here? We’ll show them it can.”
