The British White Paper on Palestine which had been promised by Foreign Secretary Ernest Bewin, was issued today, at the same time that it was announoed in the House of Commons that a formal debate on the decision to place the palestine question before the United Nations will be held in Parliament next Tuesday.
The White paper, which will form part of the dessier to be sent to the General Assembly of the U.N., contains an extrect from the Morrison “federalization” plan with a map illustrating the proposals. It also contains the Hevin plan as well as the plan submitted by the Arabs during the recent London Conference. It makes no mention of Jewish proposals.
The White Paper states that the British proposals were designed to give the Jews and the Arabs “the opportunity of demonstrating their ability to work together for the good of Palestines, providing stable foundations for the establishment of Palestine as an indepandent state.”
All members of the Jewish Agency executive are leaving London next week for Palestine for a full session of the executive and to partioipate in a meeting of the Zionist Actions Committee early next month, it was disclosed today by## of the World Zionist executive. Moshe Shertok, head of the political ## of the Agency, is leaving for Washington tomorrow but will procced to ## in time for the session of the Agency executive.
