The Second annual congress of the Central Jewish Committee of Germany adjourned during the week-end without the Revisionist delegation, who had earlier walked out of the meeting, returning to assume their seats. The 30 Revisionists left in protest when the other 105 delegates unanimously adopted a resolution condemning “terrorism” in Palestine.
A praesidium of 16 persons was chosen before the meeting adjourned. Samuel Gringaus chairman of the Committee’s general council, was re-elected, as were David Treger, Leon Retter and M. Blumowiez, all officers. The seats were awarded on the basis of eight for Labor Zionists, three for the Revisionists and one each for several minor parties. When the congress adjourned the Revisionists’ three seats were left open for them.
