U.S. Soldier Gets Five Years for Fatal Shooting of Italian Jew During Brawl

Corp. Manuel Alonzo was yesterday sentenced to five and one-half year’s imprisonment by a U.S. court martial for the fatal shooting of Anselmo Effratti, 25, an Italian Jew. Effratti was shot last month during a brawl between American soldiers and Italian civilians.
