The Anglo-Jewish Fellowship, an anti-Zionist organization, has submitted a memorandum to the U.N. Palestine committee advocating placing Palestine under a permanent international trusteeship.
The document urged that the country be given a constitution which would take into account the significance of the country to the three religions and granting autonomy to the religious communities in the matters of religion, education and cultural matters. It said that this move would grant the religious communities much of the independence they seek. In addition, it favored immediate immigration to Palestine of “as many as possible of those Jews who wish to go there.”
