The Uruguayan Ministry of the Interior is planning to extend the life of immigration visas which would normally be invalidated on Sept. 7, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned here today.

In accordance with a new immigration decree which was promulgated earlier this year, all visas granted under the old law would have expired next month. The extension is expected to benefit a number of Jewish refugees who obtained the old visa form but have been unable to leave Europe because of the shipping shortage or for other reasons.
