Rumanian Govt. Eases Decree Withdrawing Customs Exemptions from Relief Supplies

Although the appeal of the J.D.C. for exemption of relief shipments from custom duties is still pending, the Finance Ministry has informed the JDC representatives that a recent shipment of 300 tons of foodstuffs from the United States, held up by the custom authorities, will be released for distribution.

The ministry also promised speedy action to provide Jewish institutions with (##)nds for current operations. All money belonging to individuals or corporations has been frozen in connection with plans for stabilizing the Rumanian currency.
