Victor Larner, former national campaign director of the Jewish Welfare Board, has been appointed executive director of the Joint Defense Appeal, it was announced here today by Judge Joseph M. Proskauer, president of the American Jewish Committee, and Justice Meir Steinbrink, chairman of the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation League. Larner will be in charge of the fund-raising activities of the J.D.A., which is currently seeking $6,000,000.
