Fishery School for Displaced Jews in Italy Opened in Adriatic Port City

A Jewish fishery school for DP’s was opened here today at Fano, a port on the central Adriatic coast, with the launching of a small craft made by the refugees. Officials of the Italian Government and the International Refugee Organization were present at the ceremony.

Responding to a plea from the Egyptian Government, forwarded by the Jewish community of Cairo, the Federation of Jewish Communities in Italy have dispatched 5,000 units of anti-cholera serum to Egypt, Chief Rabbi David Prato announced. The serum was shipped by air express.
