Jews in Tripoli are tense following a recent Arab strike to protest any decision which would return its former North African possessions to Italy, according to a dispatch appearing today in the Manchester Guardian.
The dispatch says that rumors are current in Tripoli that Italy may get the Trusteeship of Tripolitania. Jews fear that the Arabs will visit their anger on them, since in all Italian propaganda for the return of the North African colonies at has pictured itself as protectors of the Jews.
