U.S. Troops Halt Rumanian-jewish Refugees Attempting to Cross Austro-german Border

American military police today halted a group of Jewish refugees from Rumania who were attempting to cross the border from Austria to the U.S. zone of Germany.

The 164 men, women and children were apprehended near Bad Retchenhall. They were returned to the Puch DP camp, near Salzburg. This was the second group halted within a week.
