Conference Decides to Proclaim $1,000,000 Campaign for Promoting Yiddish Culture

A $1,000,000 campaign for Yiddish cultural activities in the United States and in European countries was proclaimed here at a conference attended by 800 delegates representing Jewish cultural and other organizations.

The conference, held at Webster Hall, was convened by the organization committee of the World Yiddish Cultural Congress which will be held in New York next May with delegates of Jewish cultural institutions from all parts of the world in attendance. The gathering was addressed by Louis Segal, secretary general of the Jewish ##tional Labor Alliance; Yefim Yeshurun, president of the Workmen’s Circle; S. Niger, # Leivick, J. Pat, A. Glantz and other noted Jewish writers.
