Pleas by several Jewish Agency aides that steps be taken to curb the Zionist extremist groups in Germany and Austria were voiced today at the closing session of the Jewish Agency conference here.

The speakers pointed out that the extremists’ militancy attracts “confused youths who are seeking to participate in what they believe will help in the establishment of a Jewish state.” They urged an educational program to inform youthful DP’s of the falsity of the extremists’ propaganda.

A minor difference of opinion developed during a discussion on education in the camps. One group of Agency workers felt that the religious content of the educational program should be expanded, while others felt that at present education must be concentrated on “more fundamental problems.”
