The 22nd annual convention of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization of America closed here today after adopting resolutions approving the UNSCOP majority recommendation for the partition of Palestine, and inclusion of the Jewish section of Jerusalem within the projected Jewish state.
The convention also pledged itself to enroll at least 50,000 new members within the next year. A final resolution called for intensification of the organization’s child-restoration program in Palestine, where the Mizrachi women maintain a network of 45 children’s homes and schools for thousands of orphaned Jewish children who have arrived in Europe.
