Women in the United States would be called upon to contribute at least $25,000,000 of household funds towards the$250,000,000 campaign of the United Jewish Appeal, it was announced today by Mrs. Ernest G. Wadel, of Dallas, chairman of the national women’s division of the U.J.A. drive.
Mrs. Wadel conferred today with representatives of eleven major national Jewish women’s organizations at a special luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel at which a program was prepared for the mobilization of Jewish women through the country behind the campaign of the United Jewish Appeal. She is leaving this week-end for a month-long visit to Europe and Palestine in order to study relief and rehabilitation needs on the spot.
