A Foreign Office spokesman said today he was un###are of a personal appeal reportedly made by President Truman to Foreign Minister ###vin to postpone the withdrawal of British troops from Palestine, He added that considered it unlikely such an appeal would be made. The spokesman repeated that Britain’s plans for the evacuation of Palestine were final.
