Supreme British Legal Body Rules Against Returning Confiscated Jewish Immigrant Vessel

An appeal against a decision of the Haifa District court forfeiting a vessel used in 1946 to transport 733 visaless Jewish immigrants to Palestine to the Palestine Government was dismissed here today by the judicial Committee of the Privy Council. The vessel, “Asya,” flew the Turkish flag at the time of its interception and belonged to Haim Molvan, who made the appeal.

Eleven men who were last week reported arrested by Greek police after they handed on the island of Rhodes in four planes en route to Palestine include three London Jews and a Palestine, it was reported here today. The other seven fliers are American veterans of the last war. One of the British Jews is Maurice Mann, a 5-year-old R.A.F veteran.
