Canadian Jewry Prepares to Celebrate Proclamation of Jewish State over Week-end

Jewish communities throughout Canada are arranging special meetings in celebration of the forthcoming proclamation of Jewish statehood this week-end. The United Zionist Council, through its president, Samuel Zacks, issued a statement declaring that the “Jewish state will rekindle anew the flame for a creative light in the hearts and minds of thousands of Jews still in the displaced persons camps.”
