"Israel is confident of victory," Mrs. Golda Meirson said today upon arrival at La Guardia Field, as the first person from the state of Israel to reach the United States since the proclamation of Jewish statehood.
Mrs. Meirson who is a member of the Provisional Government Council of Israeli. came here to report to American Jews on the current situation in the Jewish state. She left Tel Aviv after Arab air raids began there last Saturday. Mrs. Meirson will address United Jewish Appeal gatherings during her stay here.
