The Foreign Office today invited Dr. Nahum Goldmann, representative of the Israeli Provision Government here, to discuss certain “urgent matters” concerning relations between Britain and Israel with Christopher Mayhew, Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs.
Dr. Goldmann, it was learned, relayed the surprise of the Israel Government that the British Government had virtually drained all oil stocks at Haifa while at the same time it is now making special arrangements that oil supplies reach Transjordan.
