Thousands of persons who could not gain admittance to the funeral services held here today at Temple Israel for Rabbi Joshua Loth Liebman listened to the eulogy through loudspeakers set up by Boston police. Most of the mourners felt they knew the author of “Peace of Mind” through his best-selling book and radio sermons.
Rabbis Solomon Goldman, of Chicago, an intimate friend of Dr. Liebman, delivered the eulogy. Numerous religious, educational and civic leaders attended the interment at the cemetery of Temple Israel, whose pulpit he occupied for 10 years.
