Dr. Moses Rosen Elected Chief Rabbi of Rumania; Succeeds Dr. Alexander Shafran

Dr. Moses Rosen of Bucharest was today elected Chief Rabbi of Rumania, succeeding Dr. Alexander Shafran who last December want to Switzerland end has never returned. The electoral council which chose Dr. Rosen who has been serving as Deputy Chief Rabbi since Dr. Sharfran’s departure, consisted of the presidents and rabbis of all Jewish communities the country.
