Pablo Diana, director of the Argentine Department of Immigration, has promised representatives of the Jewish community that no discrimination will be permitted against Jews desiring to enter the country, it was announced here this week by the DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jewry.
The matter was discussed with Diana by Dr. Ricardo Dubrovsky, president of the DAIA, and Jacobo Fenerman, president of the Society for the Protection of Jewish Immigrants, the local branch of the Hebrew Immigrant and Aid Society. Diana pledged that any complaint of discrimination brought to his attention would be dealt with quickly, He also agreed with a request by Dr. Dubrovsky to grant the Society the right to represent Jewish immigrants in their dealings with the Immigration Department
