Complying with the request of the Central Bureau of Hungarian Jewish Communities, the Hungarian Government has exempted a number of Jewish trade schools for boys and girls from nationalization, it is reported here.
These institutions will remain under the direction of Jews, but the government will contribute the major part of the teachers’ salaries. Negotiations are continuing between the Central Bureau and the Hungarian Ministry of Education to exempt certain Jewish communal schools from nationalization.
