Israeli Official Received by Uruguayan President; Addresses Chamber of Deputies

Dr. Moises Toff today formally presented his credentials as Israeli Foreign Under-Secretary to Luis Berres, President of Uruguay, it a ceremony attended by important government officials. Later, Dr. Toff, accompanied by high civilian and military leaders, placed a wreath at the Uruguayan national Artigas monument.

Dr. Toff was also invited to address the Chamber of Deputies, where he was received with a great ovation. After making a speech which praised the people and government of Uruguay, Dr. Toff left the Chamber and was enthusiastically greeted by a large crowd assembled outside. In the evening he attended a reception in his honor at the home of Representative Paysce Reyes.
