Monte Harris, a 23-year-old Jewish grocer, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment yesterday for possessing explosives which, his attorney said, were to be attached to Iraq-bound army trucks which were to be used against Israel. Sentence was pronounced after Harris pleaded guilty. Nathan R. Burns, accused with Harris, was acquitted for lack of evidence.

In passing sentence, Judge R. Stable told Harris: “You in your blind folly apparently believe that a political cause, which I have no doubt you believe in, can be advanced in this nation by the use of explosives and violence. You are wrong. It never has been and never will be.”
