Formation of Czech Jewish Legion to Fight in Israel As Voluntary Force is Stopped

American newspapers today carried dispatches from Prague quoting Jewish sources in Czechoslovakia as saying that the formation of a Czech Jewish Legion to fight in Palestine had been stopped. According to these sauces, the Israeli Government had refused to accept the Czech unit a voluntary force. Premier David Bon Gurion was reported to have insisted that all volunteers come to Israel as Jews and not as members of a special legion.
