A resolution calling on the United States delegation at the United Nations to delay at least for one year final action on the proposed international covenant on human rights was unanimously adopted here yesterday by the house of delegates of the American Bar Association.
The action was taken following a report by one of the organization’s committee which declared that the proposed covenant was in conflict with some aspects of our municipal, county, state and national law. Speakers argued that if the U.S. Senate ratified the covenant as a treaty, the covenant would have the same force in this country as the Constitution.
